Registration is now open for the Charleston Classic (December 7-8, 2013). Go to discgolfunited.com, click “Events” then scroll down and click on our Charleston Classic event or just click here: http://www.discgolfunited.com/disc-golf-tournaments/tournament-dashboard.cfm/tourn_id/1006
We already have 11 people registered so get on there today. Don’t miss your chance to play the biggest event of the year in your own backyard. We are protecting a few divisions but all spots will open up before the registration deadline. You will not be able to register the day of this event!
Dynamic Discs is also hosting a one day C tier at Hampton Park on Friday Dec 6th. More details to come on this event soon.
We have some great sponsors lined up, but we still need a few more to reach our mandatory sponsorship goal. Please contact me if you have any leads on sponsors for the event in the form of money, goods or service. We also need a few more volunteers to help with event administration. Let me know if you can help.
Other news: The United States Disc Golf Championship starts Wednesday. I have 2 VIP passes for anyone planning to attend. Give me a call so I can get them in your hands.
Big thanks to Wesley Pickell for helping us with our Classic tournament logo and flyer design. We are still adding all of our sponsors, but I am attaching what we have so far. Check our website for the latest details soon (charlestondgc.com).
We have 2 events in November for everyone: Movember and the Turkey Day Shootout. Movember is a team event followed by singles play on November 9th at Trophy Lakes sponsored by the James Island Vikings. All proceeds of the event will go to the Movember charity that helps raise money for men’s cancer research organizations. The Turkey Day Shootout is a Park Circle – North Charleston Parks and Recreation event on the 23rd. I have flyers attached for both. Please make contact with the event coordinators if you want to attend either of these. A bonus event on November 10th is at Hampton Park and we need all participants to bring their portable baskets so we can setup the temporary course that morning.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the club or any of these events. Hope to see everyone on the course.
