Blaine Kinkel was recognized for his play in major tournaments last year.
This time he was mentioned at the conclusion of the Earlewood Classic. Last year, Blaine won the Bowling Green Ams tournament, and then won the US Amateur Tournament, earning him a spot in the USDGC. That made him the second Charlestonian to play in the USDGC, ever (Jonas played and cashed in the USDGC in 2008). He also finished in the top ten at World's for ams, which Tradd did a few years earlier. He is sponsored by Discraft. Most importantly, he's a positive influence in any group of players. Way to set the standard, Blaine! Next stop... 1000+ rated?
